Can you walk around Warwick Castle for free?
Sadly no. The castle and grounds are surrounded by their on site accommodation the Knights lodges and the car parks which the main car park for daily visitors is a 15 min walk from the castle entrance. You can’t get into the actual castle grounds without bypassing the main ticket entrance.
Can you take a packed lunch to Warwick Castle?
Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnics to the Castle, with 64 acres of beautiful grounds it is easy to find the perfect picnic spot.
Is Warwick Castle fun for adults?
Definitely one that adults will enjoy, not just kids! The Castle Dungeon is another good option for adults. This experience takes you through the grisliest history of Warwick Castle, with scares aplenty. This is one aimed at adults.
Does Warwick Castle have free parking?
Offers standard parking in our overflow field – 15 to 20 minute walk to the main castle entrance up an incline. This car park is seasonal and is chargeable at the pay point as you leave the castle (via contactless payment only).

For the purposes of admission an adult is classed as 12 years and older. We do not accept entry into the Castle for children under 12 years old without an parent or guardian aged 18 years old or over. All those aged 3 years and over require an entry ticket.
