Is Embsay Railway dog friendly?
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome on the trains unless you are dining on board (we only allow guide dogs in our dining carriages). They are welcome in our station buildings including our cafe areas. Dogs are not allowed on seats.

From here, follow the path all the way to the bridge. You will pass underneath the bridge and go through a gate to your left which will take you up to the hillside. Since this is arguably the best view you’ll get of the viaduct and the passing train, it gets pretty busy.

We visited Bolton Abbey (starting at The Priory) with the kids. Many have moaned about the £15 parking charge but there is no ticket entry, so I felt it quite reasonable. There are some lovely walks around with plenty to keep the kids entertained on the route. We didn’t have.
