Attendees are allowed to bring food and drink to the event, but are prohibited from taking food, drink, glass bottles and glasses into the Members Enclosure.
What do you wear to the Balloon Fiesta?
The temperature can widely vary while you are in Albuquerque for the fiesta. Events start early and can go late, so you’ll want to wear light layers that aren’t too cumbersome to carry around. You’ll want a jacket and hat as well!
Where do I park for Bristol Balloon Fiesta?
Our main public car park with access is via Gate 9. There is a walk down the hill to the main fiesta site. Please note that this car park does not open until 10am and therefore if you are planning on attending the morning launch you will need to buy a ticket for the Blue Car Park.

What time do the balloons take off at Bristol Balloon Fiesta?
The Bristol Hot Air Balloon Fiesta usually features both morning and early evening launches. If the weather is good, the morning launches usually begin around 6:00am and the evening launches around 6:00pm.
Can I bring a backpack to Balloon Fiesta?
Backpacks/bags (1 per person) are allowed but will be inspected entirely. (Clear bags will expedite the process • Blankets or bulky clothing should be carried over the shoulder to be screened more quickly. Folding chairs are allowed but will have to be removed from the carrying case for inspection.
How early should I leave for Balloon Fiesta?
Since crowds for some of our events are in excess of 80,000 people, arriving sooner is better. For weekend events, plan to arrive at the park by 4:00-4:30 am. During evening events, try to be at the park by 4:00 pm. Gates open at 4:30 am and 3:00 pm.
Are you allowed to take food into Bristol Hippodrome?

Is Balloon Fiesta better in morning or evening?
There is generally no best day to attend the Balloon Fiesta, but the most popular event is the morning mass ascensions which generally take place on Saturday and Sunday mornings as well as on one of the weekday mornings.

Should I wear jeans to a music festival?
DO: wear denim. Shorts, jeans, jackets and shirts, they’re all welcome at festivals and make an easy go-to if you’re unsure what to wear but stil want to look cool.

Generally speaking, we say balloons will last anywhere between 2-5 days. In saying that; there’s more science in balloons than you may think! -Confetti Balloons have more weight in them, so most sizes only last about 24 hours. -Latex balloons with hi-float inside will float about 2-5 days.

Is Clifton Suspension Bridge Closed For Balloon Fiesta?
At points during the event, Clifton Suspension Bridge will be entirely closed. There will be no access to the bridge for pedestrians and vehicles from 6pm to midnight on the Thursday and Saturday of the festival – coinciding with the nightglows.
