There are no charges except the National Trust car park where you need to park for one of the falls . There is a short walk to each one . over a year ago.

Definitely don’t need a car. Most of York centre is pedestrainised or taxi/buses only during the day. PLus parking is a nightmare as already said. I live on the edge of the city and about a 10/15 walk from everything in the city.

York is well known for historic buildings, history in general and of course stunning architecture so if you enjoy looking at wonderous buildings you will most likely enjoy visiting York Minster.
