- There are 6 parking areas available on racedays; Red Car Park North, Red Car Park South, Green Car Park North, Green Car Park West, Blue Car Park, Yellow Car Park.
How do you pay for parking in Cheltenham?
Please download the MiPermit app (available on the App Store and Google Play) to use the service. Arranging parking in advance of arrival does not reserve a parking space at the location. Please enter the registration number of the vehicle you are paying parking for.
Can you wear jeans to Cheltenham races?
A tweed skirt, or the new Anna Lascata suede skirt are great options. Otherwise, the relaxed dress code at Cheltenham means it is acceptable to wear a smart pair of jeans and many do.

Is parking free in Cheltenham?
However, you cannot park for longer than two hours. Also, know that on-street parking is enforced Monday through Saturday 8am to 7pm, and parking outside of these hours is free!

How much is Cheltenham Racecourse park and ride?
Parking is free, and the service runs every few minutes. Please note that times vary on Sundays. Additionally, the Park and Ride is just under 3 miles from the centre of town which is just a 20 minute cycle along well marked cycle routes including NCN route 41 (The Honeybourne Line) into the Promenade or High Street.
Is riding car park free?

Do you have to wear a mask at horse racing?
All racecourse attendees must comply with the BHA COVID-19 Requirements, which stipulate that attendees must, where required, wear face coverings and/or appropriate PPE.
What is the best day to go to Cheltenham?
Tickets for the opening Tuesday and Gold Cup Friday sell out a little quicker than the middle two days, but those in attendance on Ladies Wednesday or St Patrick Thursday can still look forward to a truly stellar card.
Do you have to wear a fascinator at the races?
When it comes down to it, check your tickets – if you are in a Royal Enclosure you must wear a hat. If you are elsewhere, hats and fascinators might be optional. Check the dress code at your racecourse before the big race day to allow yourself plenty of time to find the perfect headpiece if you need one.

No alcohol is to be taken off-site. Food and non-alcoholic drink are permitted into the Best Mate Enclosure. Those in the Club/Tattersalls Enclosure shall not take any food, drink, glass bottles or glasses onto any other part of the Racecourse unless this is specifically permitted by the Operator.

There is one exception to these rules and, well, it’s very Cheltenham. The club says that the only place alcohol can be brought onto the site is in the Garden Enclosure – where any alcohol must be accompanied by a “substantial picnic” – though this is limited to one bottle of champagne per picnic.

Although far from compulsory in all enclosures, smart dress is the accepted dress code for racegoers. Trainers and shorts are widely regarded as unacceptable, although not forbidden in some enclosures or at some meetings. The classic Flat racing attire for men is a collared shirt with trousers and smart shoes.
Can you wear smart trainers to Cheltenham?
You will be on your feet throughout the day and comfortable shoes are a must. While there is no strict dress code as such, smart footwear is recommended in hospitality, but ladies can opt for flat shoes instead of heels.
