Can you walk along the Cambridge Guided Busway?

The guided section is 16 miles long, and the bus routes between Huntingdon and Trumpington cover 24 miles Its adjacent bridleway, tarmaced as far as Swavesey, provides 16 miles of a route for walking, cycling and horseriding.
Why is Cambridge busway closed?
The council said the barrier is being installed to stop people from walking and cycling on the busway track that is not being used. It warned that work will also take place overnight to repair some parts of the maintenance track damaged by tree roots from neighbouring properties.
