When did Stratford become Zone 2?
January 2016
Stratford, Stratford International and Stratford High Street stations will all become part of Zone 2 from January 2016. Transport for London will re-zone Stratford as part of the Mayor’s plans to create a new cultural hub in the Queen Elizabeth Park called “Olympicopolis”.
Why is Stratford Zone 2 and 3?
Stratford and several other stations have been moved from Zone 3 to the new Zone 2/3. What this means is that the Zone will change depending on direction of travel. Travelling between these stations and central London will actually be cheaper.
