Can you get an Oyster card if you don’t live in London?
If you do not live in the UK, you can still get an Oyster card but only when you arrive in London. You can also pay for your travel with a contactless payment card.
Can I get student Oyster if I live outside London?

Zip may perform a soft credit check, which does not hurt your credit score. Zip says it does not rely solely on credit scores and doesn’t state a minimum credit score requirement, so if you have bad credit or no credit, there’s a good chance you can still use Zip.
How far out of London can I use my freedom pass?

How far outside of London can I use my 60+ Oyster card?
