We love dogs at Sutton Hoo and your canine companions are welcome across all of our estate walks. Please keep your dog on a short lead at all times, this is vital to protect sheep and their lambs which are currently grazing on site. If you have forgotten your dog lead, they are available to purchase from the shop.
Is Sutton Park dog friendly?
The park is really popular with runners, walkers and cyclists and you may need to keep your pup on a lead when you come across them. A lot of dogs roam free in the park so it is a nice place for them to stretch their legs. You will see many dog walkers during your visit.
Can dogs go to Wallington Hall?
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times when on the property as we have an abundance of wildlife that must not be disturbed, as we all as livestock grazing on the tenant farms. Dogs are allowed in the cafe and shops. Assistance dogs only in the house.

We both found Sutton Hoo a fascinating attraction to visit, particularly the main exhibition of reproduced and original objects. As the most significant Anglo-Saxon site in England that can still be visited, it is definitely worth a trip to Suffolk to explore the site for yourself.
