Can you wear jeans at Haydock races?
We ask that you wear a buttoned collared shirt and smart trousers. Jeans are allowed as long as they’re not faded, distressed or ripped. Fancy dress, sportswear (including training shoes) or swimwear are not permitted.
Can you take dogs to Cheltenham races?

Picnics are permitted, this will be on the grassed area at the front of the grandstands only. Catering outlets will be available throughout all enclosures.
Can I run a race with my dog?
Exercising together can create a strong bond between you and your dog, and with the proper training and time your dog will enjoy running races as much as you do. A dog 5K can be a great experience for you both. Make sure to take it all in. After the race go and socialize with other runners and their dogs.

How much is parking at Haydock races?

All parking at Haydock Park racecourse is free of charge. There are three car parks which can be used by racegoers with reserved car park passes – these can be accessed via the A49 entrance to the course (use WA12 0HQ in your sat nav).

Is a 5K too much for a dog?
Your dog will have plenty of energy to race a 5K or 10K, so don’t worry about that. It’s OK to feed your dog a slightly larger meal the night before, although not necessary. Don’t go overboard with it, just 10% more should be fine. You could also add some extra water to his dry food to make sure he’s well hydrated.
Can my dog run a half marathon with me?
For many dogs, a half-marathon and beyond is realistic with the right training and conditioning and the right weather. For others, it’s too far. Breed is only one factor. Age, energy level, personality, health, fitness, weight and size of your dog are all factors.
