Our cycle policy If you have a fully folding cycle, you’re welcome to bring it on board any of our trains. Just be sure to fold and carry your bike before going through the ticket gates and when doing so, please make sure you use the wide aisle gate as this provides more space and time for you to walk through.
Can you take bikes on trains to London?
Non-folded cycles are allowed Monday to Friday: Arriving at Liverpool Street (from the east) before 07:30 and after 09:30. Leaving Liverpool Street (eastbound) before 16:00 and after 19:00. Arriving at London Paddington (from the west) before 07:45 and after 09:45.
Are you allowed to take bikes on trains?
Yes, you can. Although the types of bikes allowed on trains can vary. Fully folding bicycles are allowed on all trains without restrictions or reservations. Reservations are sometimes required for full-size bicycles on certain services, and there are also restrictions on Peak-time travel.
Can you take bikes on the overground?
Folded bikes are accepted on the London Overground anytime. Time restraints apply for non-folded bikes.
Can you take your bike on the London Underground?
Folded bicycles can be taken free of charge on the tube at all times. Non-folding bicycles can be taken free of charge on some sections of the tube outside peak times. Peak times are 07.30 – 09.30 and 16.00 – 19.00, Monday to Friday, except for public holidays.
Can I take bike on train to Euston?
There is some important information that you will need to know before traveling: Full-size bikes cannot be taken on any train arriving in London Euston between 07:00 and 09:59, or departing from London Euston between 16:00 and 18:59 from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays)
How do you load a bike on a train?
Make sure your bike is taken to the right platform and loaded in the train you travel. After you reach the destination station, go the luggage office, submit the luggage receipt and endorsement of your ticket. The office authorities will provide a delivery or dispatch receipt.
What are you not allowed to bring on a train?

Can I cycle in London without a helmet?
Wearing a helmet whilst cycling is not a legal requirement in the UK.
Can you lock your bike anywhere in London?
In London, use two Sold Secure gold bike locks to secure the bike to an immovable object, ensuring both wheels and frame are covered by the locking (don’t just lock the frame or front wheel). Don’t use cable locks (especially as a primary lock, regardless of the risk factor of the area/facility).

Do bikes pay congestion charge London?
Motorbikes and mopeds are exempt from the Congestion Charge.

Between 200 – 300 miles. It is fairly popular to transport motorcycles within this distance in the UK. The average cost of it is 68 £. If we look at the cost per mile it is 0,35 £./mile.
How much does it cost to take a motorbike into London?
NO CONGESTION CHARGE FOR MOTORCYCLES OR SCOOTERS! To drive into London’s central congestion charge zone in a car or commercial vehicle during a weekday costs £11.50 per day. The good news is that motorcycles and scooters are exempt from these charges!
Should I lock my bike on the train?
If you’re bringing your bike on the train, please don’t lock it to any part of the train or leave it unattended. If your bike would obstruct other passengers when they’re getting on or off, or standing, we may ask you to remove it – or not to bring it on board – even at times when bikes are normally allowed.
Do you have to book to take a bike on a train?
You can reserve a bike space on a limited number of these services. If you do not hold a reservation, bikes are carried on a first come, first served basis. On most trains there’s space for 2 full-size bikes. However, some trains may have more room.
Can I take a bike on the train from Cambridge to London?
There is a set number of full-size bikes allowed on our trains, depending on the type of train in service. At Stratford, Liverpool Street and Cambridge stations no full-size bikes are allowed on some trains arriving or departing at the busiest times.
Can my friend parcel my bike in train?
Hereafter, it’s the responsibility of the Railways to upload and transfer your bike to the destination station. If someone else is taking the delivery of motor bike, it is necessary that you provide the concerned person with the way bill copy which will be shown to the officer while collecting motorbike.
