Can you eat on trains in Scotland?
On trains with a catering service, you’ll get a free hot or soft drink and a sweet or savoury snack for the journey. You can also buy refreshments from the trolley service. Please note this is subject to availability of hospitality on board.

The meal chart for passengers travelling in Rajdhani, Duronto, and Shatabdi Express in 1A or EC will have to pay ₹190 for breakfast and evening snacks instead of ₹140 if not opted for a meal at the time of ticket booking, likewise, for lunch and dinner, it will be ₹290 instead of ₹240.
Is there food on British trains?

You may bring your own food and beverages onboard for consumption at your seat or private Sleeping Car accommodations. However, you can only consume food and beverages purchased in Dining and Lounge Cars in those cars.
Is meal free in train?
The free meal – veg or non veg, you choose – will be available only if the train is delayed for over two hours – regardless of the cause of delay. Free meals are unlikely to be served often, given these are premium trains whose running is prioritised.

For trains where food changes are inclusive, there is a separate category called “catering charges” in fare distribution. So if you are not sure of any such fare, you can try to make similar booking and before payment, can check fare distribution to know whether food fare is inclusive and is provided in train or not.

If you want to order through the train number or train name, then you will have to enter your PNR number for verification purposes before confirmation of the order. Standard. If you get a little peckish en route, head to our onboard bar buffet Café Métropole. We serve a range of snacks, light bites, and sweet treats as well as a selection of hot and cold drinks. You’ll find Café Métropole near the middle of our trains and we accept both cash and cards.

You can drink and/or buy alcohol on most trains in England and Wales. However some may choose to run booze-less services on the odd occasion. These will generally be trains to or from footie matches or other sporting events.
