Is CAE hard to pass?

This exam is the second on the language proficiency scale, after the C2 Proficiency (CPE), so you’ll need to be very confident in your abilities and knowledge when you take it. This test is one of the most requested and is highly demanding, but you don’t have to worry.

What is a good CAE score?

Valid scores on the CAE Exam range from 160 to 210. A score of 180 or above is considered a “pass” and students with that score will receive the Cambridge C1 Advanced certificate, which corresponds to a level C1 in English on the CEFR.
