What happens if you need the toilet on the London Eye?
We have Male, Female and Accessible toilet facilities available in London Eye Ticket Office. Baby Change facilities are also available. Please note there are no toilet facilities on-board the London Eye itself. Our team will be more than happy to direct you should you need help.

Can you sit down on the London Eye?
Yes. There is a bench in the centre of the pod, however seating is available on a first come first serve basis.
Do pods on the London Eye Move?
The 32 oval capsules are sealed and air-conditioned and are attached to the external circumference of the wheel and rotated by electric motors. Each of the 10-tonne capsules represents one of the London Boroughs and can hold up to 25 people.
Why does the London Eye have 32 pods?
There are 32 capsules on the London Eye to represent the 32 London Boroughs with each of them holding up to 25 people, are air-conditioned and each weigh 10-tonnes. Each of the capsules has a number from 1-12 and 14-32, with the number 13 not used as it’s seen as unlucky.
Why are there no toilets in London?
The trouble has been caused by austerity-hit councils in the UK who are not legally required to provide toilets for the public and who have cut expenditure on them in order to protect services that they are obliged by law to provide for local people.
Is London Eye better at night or day?
Avoid peak times
The London Eye is busiest between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. during the UK school holidays, and is quieter at the beginning and end of their opening hours, which vary throughout the year.
Does the London Eye stop at night?
The London Eye is open from 10:00h to 20:30h in June, July and August. The rest of the year: 11:00h to 18:00h. Sometimes the opening times change depending on the time of year or some other factor, to be informed you can visit the official website of the London Eye.
Can you ride the London Eye at night?
It’s especially nice to experience the nightfall, with the lights of the city, at the London Eye. To do this you should start the ride shortly after sunset (link with times below). Usually the queue times are not too long in the evening hours. The ride duration is around 30 minutes.

We do not operate a dress code for visiting the London Eye, however we would recommend dressing accordingly for the weather.
Is it worth it to go on London Eye?
We have been on it many times over the years and the London Eye views (on a clear day) are spectacular. Yes, it can be expensive, but there are often London Eye discounts (we will mention a few later in the post) and it really should be on your list of London things to do.
