What days are free buses Swansea?
People will be able to get around for free this summer thanks to 20 days of complimentary bus travel.
The dates when you can travel for free are as follows:
- Friday, July 29.
- Saturday, July 30.
- Sunday, July 31.
- Monday, August 1.
- Friday, August 5.
- Saturday, August 6.
- Sunday, August 7.
- Monday, August 8.
Are buses still free in Swansea?
You do not need to show proof that you live in Swansea to receive free travel. What bus services are included in the offer? Bus services operated by First Cymru, Adventure Travel, South Wales Transport, DANSA and Briggs are included.
Are buses still free in Wales?
The free travel scheme started on 26 March and will continue until 31 March 2023 pending a further review. The scheme provides unlimited travel on: all local bus services. Transport for Wales rail services across Wales.

How do you pay for buses in Swansea?

Who is entitled to a free bus pass in Wales?
If you live in England or Wales
In England you can get a bus pass for free travel when you reach the State Pension age. If you live in London, you can travel free on buses, tubes and other transport when you’re 60, but only within London. In Wales you can get a bus pass when you reach 60.
Can I use my UK bus pass in Wales?
You cannot use your Welsh pass for travel in England and you cannot use your English pass for travel in Wales. Please be aware that your concessionary pass cannot be used on coach services such as National Express or Megabus.
Can I use my OAP bus pass on National Express?
You can travel for free anywhere in England, including London on local bus services. It’s not valid for journeys within Scotland or Wales. Free travel is not available on tourist buses or coach services like megabus.com and National Express.
Can you use your national bus pass in Wales?
Your Concessionary Travel Card is valid on all eligible bus services that operate in Wales, including those commencing/terminating at points adjacent to Wales, provided that the cross-boundary journey doesn’t involve a change of bus in England. You can also use selected rail services operating in Wales.
Are free bus passes being stopped in Wales?

Does the weekend count as off peak?
A general rule of thumb is that Off-Peak will begin at 09:30 Mondays to Fridays in cities and large towns, and 09:00 across the rest of the network. Weekends and Bank Holidays are Off-Peak all day.

With a registered AT HOP card, children aged 5-15 years inclusive travel free of charge on buses, trains and ferries* on weekends and on public holidays. Children under five travel free any time when accompanied by a fare paying passenger. *Skybus services and Waiheke ferries excluded.
Can you pay with cash on bus Wales?

You can purchase, store and use digital copies of transport passes for participating public transport systems. For some public transport systems, you can use Google Wallet to pay for transportation at the fare terminal with a supported credit or debit card saved to your phone.
Can I get free travel at 65?
Travel free on bus, tram, Tube, DLR, London Overground and Elizabeth line. You can travel free on TfL services with your Older Person’s Freedom Pass from 09:00 weekdays and anytime at weekends and on bank holidays.
Can I use my OAP bus pass anywhere in the UK?
Where can I use my bus pass? Your bus pass is valid for use on all registered Bus services within England, so if you are visiting other places you should be able to use your pass. It is not valid in Wales* or Scotland.
