How does tapping on a bus work?
Tap On, Tap Off is the most convenient way to pay. There’s no need to ask the driver for a ticket; just tap when you get on and off the bus and make sure you tap the same contactless card or device each time. We accept payments on VISA, Mastercard, Apple Pay (now with Express Mode) and Google Pay.
How much does it cost to get an Oyster card?
You need to pay £7 for an Oyster card. If you got your card on or after 4 September 2022, the fee is non-refundable. If you got your Oyster card before 23 February 2020, you can get your £5 refunded when you don’t need your card anymore.
What age kids pay bus UK?
Additional children, or children under five occupying a seat required by an adult, may be charged as if they were aged five or over. Children 16 and above will need to pay a fare; in some cases this will be the adult fare, but in some areas we are able to offer reduced fares for young people.

What to do if I leave my phone on the bus?
- Make a Call to your phone.
- Ask all your contacts to call your phone.
- If no answer, call the bus company to speak with Shift Supervisor or Duty Manager.
- Make a Police Report if you purchase it using a credit card.
- With police report , go to the Telco or Service Provider to report loss and obtain a new SIM card.
