Can you legally park on the verge?
Parking on footways or footpaths (pavements, grass verges, alleyways, etc), or in front of dropped footways or raised carriageways (for example driveways or pedestrian crossings) is banned on almost all streets in London at all times, including at night and weekends.
Is it illegal to park on the verge in the New Forest?
Please don’t park on or drive over verges, and use designated car parks. There are 130 Forestry England car parks across the New Forest which can be used free of charge.
Can you park on grass verge UK?

A bollard is a heavy duty solution that will not only stop cars or vehicles driving over the edge of the verge and ruining the grass but will stop vehicles parking or accessing grass areas completely.
Can you park anywhere in the New Forest?
There are also over 50 car parks in our towns and villages operated by New Forest District Council. Please do not park on the verges of forest roads or block any forest gates.
Where can I park overnight in the New Forest?
There are lots of campsites in the New Forest, and several pubs that will let you park a campervan overnight if you are eating in the pub. Ones that we are aware of are, The Filly Inn, The Crown Stirrup, and the New Forest Inn.
Can you sleep in your car in the New Forest?
Wild camping in the New Forest or overnight parking in Forestry England car parks is not permitted and contravenes the byelaws.
Who owns the verge outside my house UK?
In the vast majority of cases, you will find that either the local council or county council owns the road, the pavements alongside it and the verges between them. Next time a nice man comes to cut the grass verge, ask which council he’s on behalf of and you will have your answer.

Can you park untaxed car on grass verge?
