Can you light a BBQ on the beach UK?
You can have a BBQ on the beach after 6.00pm but please note that only charcoal or gas barbeques can be used, no open fires are permitted. Please dispose of your BBQ safely and responsibly and ensure that you dowse hot coals first. Cinder bins are available in various locations.
Can you have a BBQ on the beach UK 2022?

Where is it legal to have a BBQ UK?
It is not illegal to have a bonfire or a barbecue on your premises, however the nuisance that it can cause, normally from the smoke, can be. Some councils also have local bylaws that can impact on when and where you are allowed to have a bonfire. Select any card you feel you need to.
Can you BBQ on Cornwall beaches?
There are no legal restrictions on disposable barbecues at council beaches, but gas barbecue machines cannot be used there. People in Cornwall are required to keep their barbecue pits cold until they are gone and then discard them. It’s fine to leave a fire pit at home, but don’t leave a fire on the beach.
Can you BBQ on Durdle Door beach?
Barbecues and fires are not permitted at any of the beaches or grassland areas on the Lulworth Estate. Overnight camping is not permitted on beaches, clifftops or elsewhere (apart from pre-booked camping at the Durdle Door Holiday Park).

BBQ’s are not advised on Weymouth Beach. If you do decide to have a BBQ on Weymouth Beach you may be asked to extinguish it if it becomes an annoyance to other beach users (for example if it is smoking) or if it becomes a hazard (for example large uncontrollable flames).
Where can you use disposable BBQ?
The foil bottom of disposable barbecues can get very hot, so don’t use them on a table or any other surface that could be damaged. Ideally, use some bricks or a paving slab to create a flat, secure surface to place the barbecue on.
Can you do BBQs in public parks?
Many London boroughs do not allow BBQs in their public spaces and some of the capital’s green spaces also have limits on the amount of people allowed at picnics without asking permission. BBQs are not allowed in any of London’s royal parks which include St James’s Park, Kensington Gardens and Greenwich Park.
