How Long Is A Surf Session At The Wave?

We have a range of sessions suitable for all abilities. Please make sure you’re booked onto the right wave for your ability. Surf sessions are 1 hour long.

How many waves are in a surf session?

Even when we’re fully booked, each surfer should score around 10-12 waves per session (that is, opportunities to catch waves – once it comes, it’s up to you how you ride it!). When we’re less busy, you’ll score more perfect waves.

How long is a surf ride?

Expert surf session waves run for around 16-18 seconds, allowing for multiple manoeuvres each wave.

How long does it take to ride your first wave?

Learning to surf does not have a set time. Some people find themselves riding the first wave within 60 minutes of practicing. It just depends on you and how quickly you grasp things. It is hard to tell how long it will take for each person to ride their first wave.
