Can You Study In John Rylands?

Can I consult material in the Historic Reading Room? For security reasons we require anyone wishing to use Special Collections at the John Rylands Research Institute and Library to study them in the Special Collections Reading Room. You are welcome to use the Historic Reading Room for your own private study.

Can I get to a public library to study can I just walk in and start doing my stuff or do I have to ask first like make an appointment or something?

Yes, you can just walk in and use the library resources. You don’t have to make an appointment. Good reading.
