Can you cycle around BEWL water?
The 12 ½ mile round reservoir route is open to cyclists, horses and walkers and is made up of forest paths, surfaced trails, country lanes and meadows. The route takes between 2 – 3 hours to complete and is quite hilly in places.

Do you need to book Bedgebury Pinetum?
Planning your visit
Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest is open every day from 8am except Christmas Day. There’s no need to book in advance to visit; except for a Go Ape experience or one of our special events.
Are dogs allowed at Bedgebury Pinetum?

Bewl Water Reservoir
It’s a large loop, taking you through the countryside and near local farms. It offers beautiful views of the reservoir the whole way, and it should take around 2.5 hours to cycle at a good speed.

At the national parks gate you have to fill in a permit (in the box next to the gate), before banging down the steep and winding 5km descent winding to the Storms River below. The low-water bridge is a great place for a swim but watch out for strong currents if the river is high.

We are very proud of our campsite flushing toilets here at Bedgebury Camping, which are light, airy and modern. Our showers are normal shower cubicles, as are our washing up sinks. All our campsite facilities are cleaned on a regular basis throughout the day starting at dawn by our onsite team.
