How long does the Lumo train take?
The full journey will take four and half hours – slightly shorter than current routes with other providers, which can take up to nearly six hours. At the start, two trains will run each way daily, before they increase to five trains a day once they acquire more trains.
Where does the Cagliari train go?
The main railway line goes from Cagliari to Golfo Aranci (Olbia), going through the towns of Assemini, Sanluri, Oristano, Macomer, Ozieri-Chilivani (an important junction station between Sassari, Cagliari and Olbia) before reaching Olbia. Another line goes from Cagliari to Sassari via Macomer, Abbasanta and Oristano.
Can I use my Lumo ticket on an LNER trains?

For our services, the most common tickets you can’t use will be for routes including LNER (eg: LNER Only), Northern, Cross Country/XC or TPE Only.
How often do Lumo trains run?
Initially, Lumo will run two trains a day in each direction, Monday – Friday and Sunday. One train will run each way on Saturdays.

Do Lumo trains have toilets?
Toilet Provision
You don’t have that problem with Lumo’s trains, as there appears to be a toilet at both ends of the three middle coaches, either in your car or the next. If you’re in one of the driver cars, there is an accessible toilet at the blunt end.

Can I sit in first class if the train is full?
Only if the train guard opens first class for second class passengers. Otherwise you must pay the surcharge to travel in first class. One of the main advantages of first class that is worth the extra money to some passengers is that it is not as likely to be full as second class.
Do Lumo trains have table seats?
On board. Aside from the lack of First Class the key features of the coaches on a Lumo train are: There are only two sets of table seats per coach, so most of the seats are airline style.
