How does Residence work at Western?
To be eligible for residence, you must be a single student without dependents who has been admitted for full-time studies at Western’s main campus. Students who accept an academic offer from Brescia, Huron or King’s are not eligible to live in our residences.
Is Residence guaranteed at Western?
Residence is guaranteed to incoming first-year students, as long as you meet our eligibility requirements. Even if you live close to campus, you won’t want to miss out! From your first steps on campus, you’ll start creating your favourite memories, while making friends who become like family.

What are the best residences at Western?
Delaware Hall is located right on campus right next to the North Campus Building. Delaware has 450 beds and three rooms to practice music in. Delaware Hall has one of the best locations amongst all residences in terms of closeness to different buildings on campus.
Is Western residence first come first serve?
To secure your spot in Residence, all students are required to pay a Residence prepayment of $900. The deadlines differ for incoming first-year and upper-year students. Upper-year students apply for Residence on a first-come, first-served basis so the prepayment deadline depends on when the application is submitted.
Does NWU offer residence?
The campus offers twelve residences of which five are situated within the grounds of the Campus and five are situated in Vanderbijlpark area. The two day residences are for day students, staying at home but travelling to campus each day.

How do I apply for housing in Western Australia?

Western’s campus is live-on optional and has an operating capacity of 4,145 residents.
Does Western give alternate offers?
Western doesn’t make alternate offers. We will only consider you for choices you add to your OUAC application.
Can you switch residences at Western?
Room changes are an option, managed by your Residence Life Coordinator, as a last resort after all other options have been exhausted. Room changes require one or both people to leave their friends and floor community. We are unable to guarantee a room within the same community if you request a room change.
Does OSAP cover residence?
Your OSAP funding will be sent directly to the University to pay your tuition, incidental fees, and residence fees for the term.
Which residence is best at McMaster?
On campus, the Les Prince and Mary Keyes residences are the most sought-after. Near campus, there are many beautiful student houses on Sterling, Forsyth, and other streets cutting through Westdale.

It’s Easy! Simply present your Western ONECard to the cashier at any one of the 22 Hospitality Services Eateries across Campus. The cash register reads your card and checks your balance. Your purchases, minus your discount, are then deducted from your account on an a-la-carte basis including applicable HST.
Can you be roommates with the opposite gender in college?
Living in co-ed dorms. Co-ed dorms (meaning the buildings, not the individual rooms) may still separate genders, often by floors or “wings.” But many colleges just mix things up, with female and male roommates living next door or across the hall from each other.
