London Eye – opening times and location

Can you ride London Eye at night?
The London Eye is open from 10:00h to 20:30h in June, July and August. The rest of the year: 11:00h to 18:00h.
How early do you have to be at the London Eye?
We advise you arrive around 30 minutes before your Standard or Fast Track experience during off-peak periods. If you are visiting us during a peak period, we advise you allow more time, as the attraction will be busier.
What time is best for London Eye?
Best Time to Visit the London Eye
The early London Eye opening times from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM has a lot of crowds, so it’s best recommended to go right when the London Eye opens or just before it closes.
Is the London Eye Open all year round?
The London Eye is open daily except for Christmas Day (25th December) and during our annual maintenance period.
What time does the London Eye turn off?
Opening times for the London Eye
From September through June, the London Eye is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. However, tickets can be purchased as from 9:30 a.m. The capsules start moving at 10:00 a.m. In the months of July and August, the view can be enjoyed for an extra hour (until 9:30 p.m.).
Is it better to do the London Eye at day or night?
The London Eye is busiest between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. during the UK school holidays, and is quieter at the beginning and end of their opening hours, which vary throughout the year.
How long is the line for London Eye?
We ask guests to anticipate queues of around 45 minutes for Standard tickets, a queue time of around 20 minutes for Fast Track ticket holders. Please note, these timescales can increase during peak periods.

We do not operate a dress code for visiting the London Eye, however we would recommend dressing accordingly for the weather.
How many times do you go around on the London Eye?
A leisurely rotation in one of the 32 high-tech glass pods takes approximately 30 minutes and gives you an ever-changing perspective of London. If you can’t wait to get up in the sky you can skip the queues with a fast-track entry ticket.
Does the London Eye operate in the winter?
The London Eye operates daily, except for Christmas day. The hours are seasonal, and generally range from 11:45 until 4:45 in the winter months, to 10:45 until 7:45 in the summer months.
Does the London Eye close in the winter?
Yes, London Eye generally closes during January for annual maintenance work. Our Annual Maintenance dates are scheduled as Monday 10th – 23rd January 2022.
Does London Eye shut in high winds?
Weather conditions and wind speeds are constantly monitored within our ride control area and therefore if there are high winds/severe weather conditions, we may make the decision to temporarily close the London Eye.
Is riding the London Eye worth it?
Is the London Eye worth the views? The simple answer is yes. This is London’s equivalent to the Eiffel Tower and there’s no denying that London has one of the most impressive skylines in the world. On a clear day you can see as far as Windsor Castle, over 20 miles away!

Do you have to book a slot for the London Eye?

Are there seats on the London Eye?
Yes. There is a bench in the centre of the pod, however seating is available on a first come first serve basis.
Can you pay for London Eye on the day?
Tickets for the London Eye must be pre-booked on our website. We strongly recommend pre-booking your tickets in advance to guarantee entry.
Can you take backpacks on London Eye?
The following items are permitted on the London Eye: Briefcases. Laptops. Small day size rucksacks and bags (maximum size 18″ x 13″ x 8″ or 46cm x 33cm x 20cm)
Do they check ID on London Eye?
