Can I just turn up at the Shard?
Visitors who want to see the view from The Shard will be required to purchase timed tickets. Although you must arrive at the time specified on your ticket, you are allowed to stay as long as you wish. It is highly recommended to purchase tickets in advance to avoid missing out.
Do you get searched at the Shard?
On arrival, visitors should be in possession of photo identification and will pass through airport style security screening. Bags will be subject to x-ray scanning and may be subject to additional searches. Unannounced visitors will not be permitted past reception.
Can you walk in the Shard for free?

You don’t need to make a booking to enjoy some decadent cocktails at Aqua Shard Bar. In fact, the bar operates on a walk-in basis only and reservations aren’t taken. Keep in mind that walk-ins are subject to capacity.
