Paper-based (PB) and computer-based (CB) tests are different versions of the same exam. They lead to exactly the same certificate and are scored in exactly the same way. The two versions allow you more choice in how you take the exam.
What is C1 Advanced CB?
C1 Advanced, formerly known as Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE), is one of our Cambridge English Qualifications. It is the in-depth, high-level qualification that shows you have the language skills that employers and universities are looking for.
What is grade C in Cambridge?
The maximum achievable score for Cambridge English: Advanced is 210. Candidates with scores from 193 to 199 will receive a grade B. Those scoring between180 and 192 will receive a grade C.
Is C1 a good grade?
If a person is at C1, this is advanced level. He/she can do the following: Understand a wide range of more demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning in them. Express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for the right expression.
How are Cambridge exams marked?
0–5 marks are given for each of the following criteria: Content; Communicative Achievement; Organisation; and Language. Whole marks only are awarded; there are no half marks given. Marks for each of the criteria are combined to give 20 possible marks for each question. There are 40 possible marks for the whole paper.
What is C2 Proficiency CB?
A C2 Proficiency qualification shows the world that you have mastered English to an exceptional level. It proves you can communicate with the fluency and sophistication of a highly competent English speaker.
What is the difference between C2 Proficiency and C2 Proficiency CB?
There is no difference. Both are performed in pairs, face to face with two examiners.
Is E fail in Cambridge?
Cambridge International A Level • A*(a*), A(a), B(b), C(c), D(d) or E(e). A*(a*) is the highest grade and E(e) the lowest. ‘UNGRADED’ shows that the candidate failed to reach the standard required for grade E(e).

Does C grade mean failed?

Does Harvard accept C1?
Harvard University has confirmed that students who have taken a C1 Advanced or a C2 Proficiency qualification can now submit their scores when applying for a place on undergraduate programmes at Harvard College.
Is Cambridge C1 difficult?
With Cambridge C1 Advanced this is definitely not the case. I have seen a lot of students who, after speaking to me, didn’t take my advice and ended up unhappy with their results. To pass you almost have to be too good for the level. The exam is exhausting, difficult and really tests your English level.

Can you fail Cambridge exams?
There are no pass or fail levels in the individual papers. Your marks for each paper are added together to calculate your result for the whole examination. We have made enhancements to the way we report the results of our exams because we believe it is important to recognise your achievement.
Is C1 better or C2?
The LG C2 OLED is slightly better than the LG C1 OLED, although the performance of the two is quite similar. The C2 is a bit brighter, especially in SDR and when displaying small, bright highlights in HDR.
Which level is better C1 or C2?
A C1 is someone who knows “more than most” non-natives, and would be considered an “expert” in the language, but without the full mastery of a C2.
Is C1 higher than C2?

Is C2 only for native speakers?
“Level C2, whilst it has been termed ‘Mastery’, is not intended to imply native-speaker or near native-speaker competence.” In its document on the standardization of language proficiency levels (see sources) the NATO Standardization Agency names the highest level of proficiency that of the “well-educated native”.
Is C2 considered fluent?
Yes, C2 is considered fluent, most probably more fluent than some of their less educated native speakers. In fact, B2 is the required level to enter a university, and C1-C2 levels are for specialized use (e.g., in the professional world, advanced literature).
