Signal your stop when it is the next stop. If you wait until the bus is actually at the stop, and it is moving, then it’s too late.
Getting off the bus
When you are approaching your bus stop, press the “stop” button – usually located on a pole on the end of the seats. The bus driver will then know that you want to get off at the next stop and will approach the stop to allow you to alight safely.
To get off a bus, press the stop button well before your stop, at least 100 metres, to allow the driver to stop smoothly and safely.
The buttons are paired to the central receiver unit, which is again connected to the electrical bus system. Depending on the received command, the receiver triggers a visual or acoustic signal to give the bus driver appropriate instructions.

Why is it called Stop the bus?
During each turn, a player must select one card from the three in the center of the table and replace it with a card from their hand. After doing so, if the player is happy with their hand, they may say “Stop the Bus”. This is the signal that each player is going to get one more turn before the round ends.
Is it better to brake quickly or slowly?
First, slow braking is more gentle on your brake pads and rotors. Fast braking increases heat and friction, thus increasing wear and tear. Slow braking will preserve the quality of your vehicle’s brake system and reduce the overall cost of car ownership.
