What happened to sea lions at Whipsnade?
They will stay at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo in Dunstable, Bedfordshire until May to enable the lion enclosure fencing to be repaired at Africa Alive. The pride has been confined to their internal housing since Storm Eunice on 18 February, when a number of trees were felled by high winds and brought down the enclosure fencing.

It’s cruel, even if the animals appear happy. I don’t know enough about sea lions to say whether they’re cruel or not, but as a general rule I prefer to see animals doing their own thing and if not in their wild habitat, in a habitat that recreates this as closely as possible.
