Why did SeaWorld stop the penguin ride?
I got curious about why the attraction was closed and asked a team member who worked for the Education team near the penguins about the closure. Her response was that it has been closed since Covid closed the theme park, that it is quite expensive to operate, and she wasn’t sure when it would open again to park guests.

Does SeaWorld still do the Shamu show?
SeaWorld San Diego’s theatrical Shamu show, One Ocean, will end Sunday and will be replaced this summer with a new Orca Encounter designed to showcase the killer whales’ natural behaviors in the wild.
Do trainers still swim with orcas?
SeaWorld apparently did not see it that way, and the killer whale shows have continued as before, only now the trainers do not perform any water work with the orcas. This of course saves trainers from being attacked but does nothing to relieve orcas from the frustrations and anxieties of incarceration.
