SPOKANE – Effective Friday, July 15, 2022, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) will restrict campfires and other activities on WDFW-managed lands and water access areas in Eastern Washington in an effort to help reduce the risk of wildfire.
Are campfires allowed in Washington state?

Allowed Fires
Fires must be small, no larger than 3 feet in diameter and 2 feet in height. If the fire is built directly on the ground it must have 50 feet of clearance all around. You can only burn seasoned dry wood. No branch trimmings, lumber or trash.
