Can you drive into Birmingham City Centre during Commonwealth Games?
During the Games, there’ll be temporary road and parking restrictions in place. This means that some of your usual routes might be affected, and you may be diverted. To make travelling easier and minimise disruption to your journey before, during and after the Games, it is better to plan ahead.

There will be no parking at or near the venue, except for limited pre-bookable blue badge spaces. Your Games ticket includes access to public transport within the West Midlands area on the day of your event (travel to Lee Valley VeloPark is not included), so it’s the best way to travel.

There are no designated taxi drop off or pick up points near the venue. Please be aware there are parking and access restrictions on local roads near the venue and therefore taxis may have to drop/collect a distance from the venue entrance.
What is accessible shuttle Bus?
The Accessible Shuttle Bus Service is available for any disabled Season Ticket Holder, as well as one carer. All those wishing to use the Accessible Shuttle Bus will need to board the bus together and show their Access Cards. One card will show the disabled supporter’s name, and the second will have the carer’s name.
Can you bring a water bottle into Commonwealth Stadium?
The following items are prohibited at Commonwealth Stadium: Weapons of any kind. Glass bottles, cans, containers with a capacity larger than 1 liter. Alcoholic beverages and outside food(exceptions may be made for medical reasons)

Cash or credit cards are accepted. Bank machines are located in east and west market areas.
