Can you use contactless on tram?
Contactless payment is now available on all of our lime green validators across the network, meaning that anyone wishing to purchase an adult single or day ticket can do so by tapping their debit/credit card (or mobile device with apple or Google pay) at the start of their journey.
How do you pay for the tram in Belgium?
All our stations and the main bus and tram stops are equipped with GO vending machines. At these ticket machines you can buy paper transport tickets and reload your MOBIB card. Payment is possible in cash as well as with a bank card.

You can now use your contactless payment card or compatible mobile device on most National Rail services in the Oyster Pay As You Go (PAYG) area where contactless payments are accepted, as well as the bus, Tube, London Trams, DLR, Elizabeth line and London Overground.

What happens if I forget to tap out tram?
Every time you touch-in, you need to touch-out at your destination stop, to complete that journey. If you fail to touch-out at your destination stop, with the same card or device, we won’t know what journey(s) you made: your journey will be incomplete (you have up to 2 hours to complete a single journey)
Is contactless cheaper than a train ticket?
You can add money to an Oyster card or use contactless (card or device) straight away. You only pay for the journeys you make and it’s cheaper than buying a paper single or return ticket (train companies may offer special deals on some journeys).
How do you pay for trams in Brussels?
You can pay for your trip using your contactless bank card (debit or credit), smartphone or smartwatch. Every STIB bus, tram and metro station is equipped with a specific contactless payment device. This device supports any bank card with the contactless logo.

It’s the easiest and most convenient way to pay, is supported on every form of transport, and in most cases is either cheaper or the same price as using an Oyster card.
Is it cheaper to use contactless or Travelcard?
As a general rule a Travelcard is more expensive than an Oyster card or Contactless payment card. The exception is if you make 3 or more journeys for 6 days or more within a 7 day period. In this case a 7 day Travelcard works out cheaper than an Oyster or Contactless payment card.
Is it better to use an Oyster card or contactless?
A contactless visitor Oyster card is excellent for pay as you go travel as fares are capped. This means this may cost less than a physical ticket. However, a standard contactless card will offer the same benefits. However, the visitor Oyster card is perhaps best used by tourists from foreign countries.
What happens if you tap in twice?
If you tap in at a station, you can’t pass your oyster card back to your mate behind, the system won’t accept two consecutive tap ins. However, it WILL accept them if the two are broken up by a tap out. So to discourage that, there’s a hefty fee involved with doing so.
Why did TfL charge me 10p?
When you make journeys with Transport for London, you will be initially charged a 10p authorisation on your card. This is because the total amount owed for your travel is unknown at that moment.
How much do you get charged if you dont tap out at the Metrolink?
You have up to two hours to complete a single journey, but if you don’t touch off then your account will be charged the incomplete journey fare, which is currently £4.60.
