This option is best for a single ride. You pay £1.50 to unlock the vehicle, then 10p per minute of riding. At the end of the ride, we calculate how long you used the vehicle and your card will be charged. Example: You ride an e-Scooter for 15 minutes, and end the journey in a designated Beryl Bay.

How do I get a Beryl scooter?
Beryl e-Scooters can be found in Beryl Bays along with our standard pedal bikes and e-bikes. To find a scooter, check in the app for the scooter icon ? showing that there are scooters in a bay. Click on the bay icon to open a panel which shows how many e-scooters are available and their range.
Can you have 2 people on a Beryl scooter?
You must not:
Register with another person’s driving licence. Ride on the pavements or anywhere indoors. Ride using someone else’s Beryl account. Ride with a passenger.
Can you leave Beryl scooters anywhere?
Beryl Bikes are designed to be parked and locked in designated Beryl Bays. If you do wish to end your journey and lock your bike outside a bay, you don’t need to attach a tether to the bike but it is essential that you lock the bike and check in the app to make sure your journey has ended.
Do you need a full driving licence to ride a beryl scooter?

You will be charged £1.50 to your bank account, and 15 minutes will be deducted from your balance at the value of £0.75.

To end your ride, find the nearest Beryl Bay on the map in the app and park neatly inside the bay to avoid the out of bay fee. This means between the four green corners marked on the road. See more about the bays here. Tap ‘End my ride’ in the app and listen for the e-scooter chime.
Are Beryl bikes free for NHS?
To access free rides, NHS workers simply need to sign up to the app with a valid NHS email address. This will provide free use of the e-scooters for all trips ending in a Beryl Bays within a 30 minute ride duration.
How do you stop a Beryl ride?
Your Beryl Bike journey ends when you lock the bike, unless you choose to pause your ride. The bike must be locked manually – we aren’t able to do this remotely.
