Ski bus fare is $5.00, and some student and employee passes may not be applicable for use on ski buses. Many resorts include free ski bus service in resort season pass packages. UTA’s ski service typically runs from November or December to March or April.
Is there a shuttle between Brighton and Solitude?
Intra-Canyon Shuttle: $2.25
The Canyon Ski Shuttle Pass is valid for a one-way ride between Brighton and Solitude Ski Resorts. (Handy for Super Pass holders who want to ski Brighton and Solitude on the same day).
Can you take skis on Park City bus?
Keep ski, snowboard, and all other personal items with you at all times. Do not block aisles or exits with personal items, or cross the white line at the front of the bus.
How does UTA on demand work?
The app-based technology matches multiple riders headed in a similar direction into a single vehicle, allowing for quick and efficient shared trips. Trips must start and end within the designated service area. After booking a ride, the app will display the pick-up location where the vehicle will meet you.
Does Ikon pass work on UTA?
Traveling to Solitude, Brighton, Snowbird and Alta
The UTA Ski Bus service provides free bus access for Ikon Pass holders to Solitude Mountain Resort, Brighton Resort, Snowbird and Alta Ski Area. Service runs all day in the winter, with 15-minute frequency during peak hours.
Can you ski both Solitude and Brighton?
Both ski resorts have that great, dry snow – making for excellent skiing conditions, and are interconnected so you can ski both. Brighton tends to be better suited to beginner skiers, but Solitude has more of a village and accommodation options near the base.
Can you ski Brighton and Solitude with same lift ticket?
You have to buy tickets for both areas if you want to ski both areas. Otherwise, the ski ticket is only good for one area. The other challenge is if there is avalanche hazard, they do not let you ski between the 2. At those times, you would have to take a bus between the 2 resorts which takes about a 5minute drive.
Is Park City expensive to ski?

Do you wear your ski boots on the bus?

The buses to and from mountain have large compartments beneath for the safe transportation of your skis, poles, snowboards and boot bags. We recommend keeping your boots with you on the bus for the ride up.
Can you ride the ski lift without skiing Park City?
Yes, as noted, you can purchase a Gondola only ticket at our Canyons Village Base and then ride to our Red Pine Lodge for lunch! Lots of other great options are available at any of our base areas, but Red Pine Lodge is accessible to non-skiers/riders via the Red Pine Gondola.
Why is UTA free in February?
The dual goals of the free fare initiative were to reduce emissions during typically poor air quality season and honor the legacy of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. UTA began working with Salt Lake City to turn the mayor’s idea into a reality.
Is UTA UVX free?
All current UVU students, faculty, staff and their spouses and dependents can ride UTA buses, TRAX, FrontRunner and the Utah Valley Express (UVX) for free!
How many drops are you allowed at UTA?
Six Course
Students who have enrolled in a Texas public institution of higher education as a first-time freshman in fall 2007 or later are permitted to drop no more than six courses during their entire undergraduate career.
Is Alta leaving IKON?
After four years as part of the Base Pass, Deer Valley and Alta will also leave that tier and join the Ikon Base Pass Plus.
Is the UTA TRAX free?
UTA TRAX and bus does have a “free fare zone” in downtown Salt Lake City where you can ride for free. If you start or end your trip outside the Free Fare Zone, you’ll need valid fare.
Is UTA free with IKON pass?

How far can you ski in one day?
120km all in should be possible for any competent red run skier. It’s the lifts and ski traffic and waiting for others in your group that eat up time.
What is it called when you ski with only one ski?
A monoski is a single wide ski used for skiing on snow. The same boots, bindings, and poles are used as in alpine skiing. Unlike in snowboarding, both feet face forward, rather than sideways to the direction of travel.
Is it easier to ski with one or two skis?
It is much easier to start with two skis. With two skis it is much easier to keep the balance and also to start skiing. After you get used to pair of skis you can try a mono ski.
Can a plus size person ski?
There are no restrictions on an overweight body being able to ski for recreation, but, if you are way too obese, it would certainly affect your experience. The expert’s advice that shedding a few pounds to gain the incredible recreational experience of skiing is worth a shot.
Can you buy ski lift tickets at Costco?
Buy your tickets in advance at local retail shops, Costco or REI. Some local ski shops offer discounted lift tickets when buying at the shop, but search online to find area-specific deals.
