Carsington water is a popular place for fishing with both brown and rainbow trout, you can even hire a boat. There is a range of watersports available on the lake including windsurfing. kayaking, rowing and canoeing. You can book in for lessons or hire their equipment.

Visitor centre is open every day (except for Christmas day). The car park is open from 7.30am all year and closed at 8pm April to September, and 7pm October to March.
