The 12 ½ mile round reservoir route is open to cyclists, horses and walkers and is made up of forest paths, surfaced trails, country lanes and meadows. The route takes between 2 – 3 hours to complete and is quite hilly in places.

We are very proud of our campsite flushing toilets here at Bedgebury Camping, which are light, airy and modern. Our showers are normal shower cubicles, as are our washing up sinks. All our campsite facilities are cleaned on a regular basis throughout the day starting at dawn by our onsite team.

Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on leads in the Pinetum and around the visitor centre and there’s no cycling in these areas for safety. Bedgebury is cared for by Forestry England for people, wildlife and trees.

How long is the Superworm Trail? The trail should keep children entertained for around an hour. We know from experience that the trail near us at Haldon Forest Park is 1.5 miles long, so isn’t a huge challenge for little legs.

There’s a Gruffalo doll in a landfill in Superworm, a Gruffalo biscuit in The Highway Rat, a Gruffalo carving in Zog and the Flying Doctors.
