Authorised items We provide pens or pencils for computer-based exams, and pens, pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners and highlighters for paper-based exams. You are allowed to bring your own, but it is not required.
What can I bring to Cambridge exam?
The written exams
- Take a ball-pen, your passport/ID and your confirmation of entry with you to the exam.
- We strongly advise you not to bring any valuable items to the examination as you will not be allowed to keep any personal items with you (bags, mobile phones, coats etc)
What pens to use in Cambridge exam?
Soft pencil (type B or HB) must be used for multiple choice tests. Pencils or pens in other colours may be used for diagrams and maps only if indicated on the question paper.
Is henna allowed in Cambridge exam?
No you’re not unfortunately. My school has told us not to put it on because it may be classed as cheating and it cannot be taken off.
Is Cambridge lenient in marking?
In external moderation, Cambridge will check the internal marking and standardisation of a school. If the marking is judged by Cambridge to be valid and reliable, the marks will be accepted. However, if the marking is judged to be too severe or too generous, the marks will be changed.
Can you use a highlighter in GCSE?
YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE CORRECTING FLUID, CORRECTING PENS, HIGHLIGHTER PENS OR GEL PENS IN ANY ANSWER BOOKLETS.
What should you not bring on exam day?
Don’t bring these:
Books, reference guides, notes, compasses, protractors, mechanical pencils, pencils that are not No. 2, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters, or colored pencils.
What do you wear to a Cambridge exam?
You should have a light base, a t-shirt or an oxford/blouse, and at least a light sweater or jacket ready to wear, if not a jacket jacket. Layers means no shorts/ no short skirts.
Which pens are not allowed in exams?

Are watches allowed in Cambridge exams?
Cambridge Assessment regulations state that: «Candidates must not wear wrist watches during the written components. They must take them off and place them on their desks.
Is Jewellery allowed in exams?
Pupils must not wear accessories that conceal their wrists and must not write anything on their hands. Pupils will be asked to remove any jewellery that does not allow a clear view of their hands. Only watches will be allowed. Pupils must behave responsibly once inside the exam venue.
Can you wear hoodies in a level exams?
No hats, hoods/hoodies or scarves are permitted in the exam room.
Is coloured hair allowed in board exam?
Yes you are allowed to do so. There is no such restriction for the same.
Is 70 an A in Cambridge?

What grade is 70 percent in Cambridge?
If a student studies more than 7 IGCSE subjects, the 7 best results will be used to calculate the Cambridge ICE grade.

Is D fail in Cambridge?

Are highlighters allowed in exams?
No. No colors are allowed in exams other than black and blue.
Can I go to the toilet during GCSE?
You will not be allowed to go to the toilet during the first 30 minutes and the last 15 minutes of the exams as this can be disruptive to other students, unless you have a known condition that the exams team have been informed of. However, if it is absolutely necessary, you will be escorted by an invigilator.
What happens if you throw up in a GCSE exam?
For exams that come from an exam board, like GCSEs or A-levels, your invigilator will report the error to the exam board, and they will take it into account when marking the paper.
Can I pass an exam by studying the night before?
If you’ve been studying all along in bits and pieces during the course, you will feel better prepared for the test. However, it’s always a good idea to review study notes the day before an exam to refresh your memory.
Should I shower the night before an exam?
It’s probably even best to shower the night before. This way you will not have to put too much effort into getting ready in the morning. Go into that exam room prepared, focused and calm.
