The main water sports lake at North Yorkshire Water Park is where you’ll find their stand up paddle boarding. It’s open to anyone aged 6 or over, but kids need an adult along to supervise. Beginners are welcome and all boarders are provided with both wetsuits, buoyancy aids, and of course, boards.

That’s perfectly permissible here, and in fact, the park will even let you rent a craft (like a kayak, paddleboat, or paddleboard) to take out on the water and enjoy yourself.
Do you fall in the water when paddle boarding?
No matter how hard you try to stay balanced on your paddle board, you’re going to fall into the water at some point. Even the most experienced paddlers take the plunge from time to time. So, if you’re feeling wobbly, don’t worry about it and remember, SUP is a watersport, so it’s OK to get wet.

For typical choppy waters, you want a moderate nose rocker. This will allow you to not only manage those rougher days, it will still let you do yoga, fishing, casual paddling, and most other SUPing activities that you plan on doing. With a moderate nose rocker, you can paddle open ocean, chop, flat water alike.
