How long is the B2 writing exam?
The B2 First (FCE) Writing exam lasts for 80 minutes. The marks are divided 50 / 50 between the two parts, which means that you have 40 minutes for the essay in Question 1 and 40 minutes for your choice in Part 2.

Is Cambridge B2 difficult?
The exam is exhausting, difficult and really tests your English level. If you are not a true B2 level English student with the right strategies, you won’t pass. For this reason, don’t take the test if you are not sure about your level or if your teacher advises against it. It will be in your best interest.

Does Cambridge B2 expire?
Your Cambridge English exam result/certificate does not have an expiry date*. It shows that on a particular date you demonstrated language skills at a specified level, however, language skills are known to diminish over time if not used and maintained.
Can you fail Cambridge exams?
There are no pass or fail levels in the individual papers. Your marks for each paper are added together to calculate your result for the whole examination. We have made enhancements to the way we report the results of our exams because we believe it is important to recognise your achievement.
Is Cambridge Cancelling 2022 exams?

What do you wear to a Cambridge exam?
You should have a light base, a t-shirt or an oxford/blouse, and at least a light sweater or jacket ready to wear, if not a jacket jacket. Layers means no shorts/ no short skirts.

If you achieve a scale score of 160–179 (grade B or C) in your exam, you will be awarded the First Certificate in English at Level B2.
Is B2 English level good for work?
A B2 level of English would allow you to function in the workplace in English, and indeed, many non-native English speakers in international workplaces have this level of English.
How long does it take to improve English from B2 to C1?
It’s possible, but you’ll need a teacher. Most people on average progress one level every 4–6 months in an immersion situation, with full-time classes, plenty of native speaker interaction, (host family situation), and a lot of social activities with mates who have made a pact to ONLY speak English.
Is B2 a good English level?
Level B2: upper independent English level
Level B2 corresponds to a more advanced, more independent level than previous levels. A B2 user can communicate easily and spontaneously in a clear and detailed manner.
How hard is B2?
99.9999% of all of the work that goes into your exam grade should come before you even sign up for the exam. No amount of cramming can make you B2 in a month. For me, it took 2 years of self-study to reach B2. And it’s those 2 years—not the 2 weeks of prep I did for the exam—that earned me great scores.
Can you reach B2 in 3 months?
B2 also takes around 3 months if you spend around 8 hours a week. P.S.: There are some people who are good at learning languages and remembering stuff who finished it all in 3-4 months. It all depends on how easy this comes to you and how much time you’re spending on it.
