What is 70% a level?
If students have over 80% of UMS marks with an average of 90% across A2 modules they are awarded an A*, 80+% is also an A grade, 70-79% offers a B grade, 60-69% is C, 50-59% is D and 40-49% offers you the bottom pass E grade.

How is the A* awarded? The A* at A Level is awarded to candidates who achieve a grade A on the A Level overall (80%), and who also achieve at least 90% on the uniform mark scale (UMS) across their A2 units.
How do you calculate a level grade?
You get your total mark by multiplying your raw marks by the weighting factor and then adding these marks together. We check the total mark against the qualification grade boundaries to get your qualification grade.

Is 70 a good mark?

Is 70 a good percentage?
Generally, at the school level percentages of 75–85 are considered average while above 95 is exceptional. At the university level however percentages between 60–79 are considered excellent and are difficult to obtain.
