How long do you need to get around Chester Zoo?
We went as 4 Adults, we arrived at 10am spent till 6pm, walking around all attractions, stopped for picnic around an hour, couple of 10 to 15 mins here & there, ice cream drinks etc, personally if you want to see the whole zoo i think it takes a whole day, id say we only just did it in that time, if you have children

Is Chester Zoo worth it in the rain?
You can easily spend a full day at the zoo, and when the rain is pouring there aren’t many places you can do that in the rain (we were there 10-3.30 on Sunday). There are plenty of indoor cafes to hide away from the rain if you need a break, and there are even inside picnic areas if you want to take your own food.

As you make your way through the forest and head towards the bat cave, you may be able to feel the air as they whoosh past you! But there’s no need to worry about them flying into you, bats are excellent navigators.

How many parking spaces does Chester Zoo have?

There is a total of 6,000 free parking spaces already at Chester Zoo but now there is also 240 additional Premium spaces – which can be booked online in advance or on the day. Premium Parking was introduced on Monday, August 5 as an optional add-on for guests at the zoo. Each Premium Parking space costs £5 per vehicle.

There is a slight ramped pathway to gain access to the walls here, opposite Little Roodee car park on Grosvenor Road. This access point also provides information on the walls route.
