Can I use my ScotRail ticket on any train?

With an Anytime ticket there are no time restrictions. You can travel on any service, at any time on your chosen route.
How do I use my ScotRail card?
Open the ScotRail App and tap ‘My Tickets’ at the bottom of the screen. Tap the round red button, and scan your Smartcard by simply hold your Smartcard against the back of your phone for a few seconds. Any tickets ready to be loaded, will appear on screen.
Can you use Smartcard on tube?
If you have a zones 1-6 London Travelcard added onto your smartcard, you have unlimited travel within London on the Underground, Overground, TfL Rail, Docklands Light Railway, buses, trams, and most National Rail services in London.
Can you use a rail card in Scotland?
A: Yes, your Railcard is accepted by all the Train Companies who operate Passenger Railway Services within England, Scotland and Wales. Railcards do not give discounts on Eurostar services, Charter services, and Heritage Railways unless state otherwise.
Can I travel on any train with my ticket?
You can buy Anytime tickets any time before you travel and you can use your ticket to travel on any train. With an Anytime ticket you can also break your journey at stations along the route of travel.

Can anyone use your rail card?

Can you use Saltire Card on Subway?
The card gives holders free bus travel in Scotland and, through the Strathclyde Concessionary Travel Scheme, reduced fares on trains and Subway in the Strathclyde area.
Can I just tap my card on the tube?
If your bank card shows the contactless payment symbol, you can use it to pay as you go straight away. You’ll pay an adult rate fare.
Can you get into the tube with card?
