Seasonal dog restrictions apply to clearly signposted areas of beach at Felixstowe, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Lowestoft and Corton, from 1 May to 30 September and Southwold from 1 April to 30 September. You must not allow your dog on the beach in these areas at these times.
Is the beach at Southwold dog friendly?
Dogs are banned from the main beach in Southwold from April 1 to September 30, in a signposted area in between the northern end of the beach huts and Gun Hill Cafe. However, dogs are allowed at Denes Beach off Ferry Road, which is just to the north of the main Southwold beach.
