Is A Leeds Active Card A Library Card?

​No. The LeedsCard is a paid for membership and entitles the holder to discounts across Leeds City Council leisure centres, museums, galleries, events and attractions such as Tropical World and Temple Newsam. They also receive discounts from restaurants, bars, leisure and retail outlets across Leeds.

Is the Leeds Library free?

Anybody can join the library and most services are free. It doesn’t cost anything to borrow books or use the computers. Non-members are very welcome to use any of our reference facilities for free, but you need to be a member to access them online.

How do I borrow books from Leeds library?

You can borrow items at any time using the self-issue machines. You will need your membership card; this might be your staff or student ID, or a library card we give you. If you are a student or a member of staff you may have 50 items at once.
