About the campaign. On 28 April 2022 the government published its broadcasting White Paper confirming that they plan to sell off Channel 4 after running a consultation last year. We launched our campaign in response and sent a clear message to the Government to keep Channel 4 public.
Why is all four not working?

Is Channel 4 going off?

Why can’t I find all US shows in All 4? Channel 4 must acquire specific rights for some programmes, such as US shows, in order to show these on a particular All 4 service. Therefore it can’t be guaranteed that all programmes will appear on all our devices.

Why is my TV channel breaking up?
Most often indicated by your picture breaking up into squares (also known as ‘pixelating’), poor signal can be caused by a coverage issue or a problem with your aerial. Most TV sets or systems will have a signal strength meter that you can check to see if this is your problem.
Why is TV breaking up?
If your TV picture is breaking up, cutting in and out, or pixelating (looks like everything is a bunch of squares), then you probably are experiencing a weak signal. Check all of the connections from the wall to your cable box and from the cable box to your TV to ensure that all connections are tight.
What would Privatising Channel 4 mean?
The independent producers who make programmes for Channel 4 can make money when shows are sold to streaming services, or to broadcasters in other countries. A privatised Channel 4 could make more money from those rights, and also make programmes itself.
Why can’t I get Channel 4 on my antenna?

Why have I lost some TV channels?
It’s normal that the digital signals for the channels you have lost were stronger when you initially scanned than it is currently. There are several reasons why this could happen, including weather conditions, electrical interference, weak signal, and atmospheric pressure.
Why are Freeview channels disappearing?
Essentially, this is all part of the development of our broadband services, which means that Freeview is changing some of the frequencies that their channels are using. This can result in the channels disappearing.

Why can’t I watch All 4 Live on my LG TV?
All 4 is not available on the LG 2020 model, but can be accessed on the LG 2021 model or via a number of other devices and platforms, such as Freeview, Roku/Now TV, PS 3/4, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Virgin and Sky.
Why can I not get All 4 on my Samsung Smart TV?
From the 29th January 2021, the All 4 app will no longer be available on 2011 and 2012 Samsung smart TV models. This is due to recent technical changes which mean that it is no longer possible for Channel 4 to maintain the All 4 app on these devices.
Only Some Certain Titles/TV Shows Episodes Are Unavailable
Amazon explains that it is because “their agreements with the content provider don’t allow purchases of this title at this time“. It could happen to any streaming service like Netflix, Hulu.
Is All 4 offline?
Yes. Once you have downloaded a programme, you can watch it offline or overseas. You do not have to be connected to the internet to watch a downloaded programme. The main benefit of the All 4 download service is that once you have downloaded a programme you can watch it offline or overseas.
Why are some episodes missing on-demand?
We do not receive the recording directly from the broadcasters, so there can be occasional technical issues if the schedule changes or where the recording doesn’t successfully generate and we can’t get it back.
Where is All 4 on Freeview?

To view this channel through an aerial on a Freeview TV, you’ll need a Freeview HD or Freeview Play TV/set-top box and for the channel to be available in your area. Channel reception also subject to your equipment, location and coverage.
Why is All 4 Not available on Freesat?
Why has this happened? We have recently updated our broadcast channel charging policy so that the fees paid by channels are now more closely linked to the number of viewers they reach, and therefore the advertising revenue they can earn from being on Freesat.
