Do you get charged if you tap in and out at the same station?
You can get a refund if you have been charged for touching in and out at the same station without making a journey.
Is it cheaper to use contactless or travelcard?
As a general rule a Travelcard is more expensive than an Oyster card or Contactless payment card. The exception is if you make 3 or more journeys for 6 days or more within a 7 day period. In this case a 7 day Travelcard works out cheaper than an Oyster or Contactless payment card.
Are trams 24 hours in Manchester?
The Metrolink operates seven days of the week throughout the year, only closing on Christmas Day. Services generally run every 12 minutes. As most stations are service by two or more services, trams usually arrive every 6 minutes or even more frequently.
