Is 40 too old to become a scientist?
No, it is rarely if ever “too late”. Some of the best engineers I’ve known were non-traditional students that completed their studies later in life (i.e. 28–48 yrs old, or something older). Science and engineering involves making a lot of assumptions and intuitive assessments. Life experience helps.
