Why did Avanti replace virgin?
The end of the Virgin Trains franchise comes after Virgin Group and Stagecoach had their bid to continue running trains on the line disqualified by the Department for Transport (DfT) in April because they did not meet pension rules. The companies are suing the DfT over its decision.

According to Disney spokesperson Avery Maehrer: “As many people who are involved in this project are aware, the new route configuration does not support a Disney Springs station and as a result, we don’t anticipate being part of this project.”
Why did Disney back out of Brightline?
Reportedly, Disney decided not to host the station at Disney Springs after Brightline altered their plans to include stops on International Drive to service Universal Orlando Resort and other attractions.
How fast will Brightline go?
Brightline will terminate at this station once the 170-mile (270 km) Orlando Extension track is built. Trains will run up to 125 mph (201 km/h) with a travel time of approximately three hours from Orlando’s airport to Miami. The first test run of the Brightline train into Orlando station happened on May 17, 2022.
Is Coach a First Class Avanti?
You’ll normally find First Class seating in coaches D, E, G, H, J, K, or L on Avanti West Coast trains (look for the First Class sign by the door). The seats are more spaced out than in Standard Class, although they follow the same arrangement on either sitting at a table of four or two seats next to each other.

Is Avanti and Lner the same?
Yes the routes are different. One is west coast to Glasgow (with a few per day terminating in Edinburgh) and LNER is the east coast.

Do Avanti West Coast trains tilt?
The electric Pendolinos were introduced on the West Coast Main Line by then-operator Virgin Trains two decades ago in July 2002, and they have since clocked up more than 272million miles. The tilting mechanism means they can tilt by up to eight degrees to make them travel faster around curves and more comfortable.
