NEWPORT NEWS — A black bear that had traveled through three localities in the Peninsula was finally caught Sunday after eluding police since Wednesday. The bear, which officials believe is the same black bear spotted earlier around the Peninsula, was spotted about 3 a.m. in Newport News.
