We want everyone to feel comfortable and able to engage with what is happening on stage, and so we encourage audiences and visitors to wear whatever they feel comfortable wearing.

Can you dress casual to a concert?
If it’s an indoor show, you can pretty much wear whatever you want. Just be sure to wear something comfortable that you can move around in. There’s nothing like a rock concert in the summer. Rock concert attire can range from formal to casual.
Can you wear trainers to the Shard?
If you are visiting one of the bars or restaurants in The Shard do not wear trainers, flip-flops, tracksuits, other sportswear or shorts. If you are visiting the top of the Shard then there is no dress code.

Our dress code is smart-casual and quite relaxed. We just ask that the general look does not appear too sporty i.e. tracksuits/football shirts/baseball caps. Smart trainers are allowed.

Historically seen as a formal occasion saved for the rich and famous, theatre goers really dressed up, however, nowadays, the theatre is a lot more inclusive and accessible to a wider audience so there’s no need to bring out the ball gown – unless you want to of course.
